Studio Shuu is a product design studio based in the Munich region, founded and directed by designer Limin Wang. Working across lighting and furniture, the studio develops products for international brands with a focus on clarity, character and lasting relevance.
With a background spanning industrial and transportation design, Wang studied Industrial Design at Nanjing University of the Arts before completing a Diplom in Transportation Design at Pforzheim University in Germany. His multidisciplinary experience brings together an understanding of form, structure, technology and production, while maintaining a sensitivity to the way objects shape everyday experience.
Studio Shuu approaches design as a search for balance — between function and emotion, rationality and intuition, tradition and the future. The work of Studio Shuu is characterized by clarity and poetry: a restrained design language in which function, proportion, material and detail come together to create a meaningful whole. Beyond answering practical needs, the studio sees design as a way of questioning and redefining value, identity and beauty — creating objects that establish a lasting relationship between people, space and the brands they belong to.
