Kooi was inspired by the poetic sensibility of the East, which is characterized by an inherent sense of flow. We realized this inherent sense of flow through the interplay of contrasting elements. This is because the Chinese traditionally see the world as composed of continuously interacting substances. We usually call them Yin and Yang. The interaction between Yin and Yang makes the opposing elements interdependent and mutually generative.

Glass and metal. Light and heavy. Black and white. Thanks to the contrast between the glass diffuser and the metal structure as a frame, lights and shadows become the protagonists of continuous visual effects and unprecedented changes of perspective. The Shan shui spirit becomes a suspension lamp.

We like most about Kooi is that the poetic sensibility it brings to people is both "distinctive" and "universal" at the same time. This means that Kooi can transcend cultural boundaries and resonate with people's innate sense of aesthetics.
